In response to the continuous increase of cases in the district, we have worked in collaboration with authorities from the El Paso Department of Public Health to provide the best strategies to decrease the dissemination of the virus. On November 12, 2021, we decided to offer remote learning to all the students attending Canutillo Middle School and Jose Damian Elementary School for one day to properly clean and disinfect the buildings. Maintaining the community informed with the most updated situation is a priority for CISD as we believe that by working together, we will be able to maintain the students with in the classroom. We also want to continue encouraging parents to keep the students at home when presenting any symptoms. Also, we invite all the members of the community to attend our immunization events to help mitigate the virus.
