Internal Audit is one year old!  It has been a challenging and exciting year starting up this department at Canutillo ISD.  Rapid growth, changing demographics and student needs, more rigorous assessments, increased requirements, and new legislation have all placed more demands on the District.  As a result many changes have taken place over the past year and will continue to take place in the coming months. I look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, district administrators, staff, students and the Canutillo community in the continuous improvement of District operations.  Internal Audit’s role is a cornerstone of good governance and supports the Board of Trustees and the Superintendent by providing oversight, insight, and foresight in the form of compliance and operational reviews, investigations, and consulting services. I will continue to provide unbiased, objective assessments on whether our resources are responsibly and effectively managed to achieve intended results.
