The new elementary school will be built on a 26-acre site in the 6500 block of Westside Drive, and house pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students.  Students are expected to begin classes at the campus in January 2008.This newest campus will alleviate overcrowding at Jose Damian Elementary School.
Mijares Mora Architects is designing the 75,000 square-foot instructional facility and Venegas Engineering Management & Construction (VEMAC) will build it.  Estimated cost for the new school is $8.2 million, which is being funded through the bond issue that CISD voters passed in February.
