This week’s match between the Canutillo High School Eagles and the Bowie High School Bears will be featured on national television as the “DQ Big Game of the Week.”
Kick off is at 7 p.m. Friday on the Orange & Blue Turf of Coach Julius & Irene Lowenberg Eagles Stadium at Canutillo High School.
The DQ Big Game of the Week is an Emmy Award winning segment that highlights the passion of Friday night high-school football in Texas. The segments air nationally on FOX Sports Southwest.
FOX Sports Southwest reporter Neil Beasley and the FOX Sports Southwest Girls will be in Canutillo to cover the match and provide on-air and social media updates about the events leading up to the big game.
Those segments as well as highlights from the game will air on FOX Sports Southwest Channel on Friday, Sept. 12, and replayed on Saturday, Sept. 13, Sunday, Sept. 14, and Monday, Sept. 15.
On game night, the DQ Big Game of the Week Express – a bus that features on-site interaction with fans and players – will be parked outside the stadium to give attendees an even greater experience before and during the game.
“We look forward to having the FOX Sports Southwest crew on campus,” said Eagles Head Football Coach Scott Brooks. “It will give us an opportunity to showcase the high-caliber of students we have here in Canutillo.”
