Students Release Balloons to Celebrate
BCE Students Promote Autism Acceptance

Parent volunteers, the West Valley Fire Department, the United States Border Patrol and Sam’s Club were on hand to help with the special events.

“This week we raised awareness for autism, but from now on, we will celebrate Autism Acceptance,” Bill Childress Principal Maria Reyna Salcedo said.

Sam’s Club awarded the BCE structured learning class (SLC) unit a $1000 cyber community grant. The school will use the funds to build a store stock room for vocational training said Ana Trejo, SLC Unit teacher.

“Students have learned so much from the activities this week and it was so nice to see the whole community coming together for a common goal,” Trejo said.
