Canutillo High School held its commencement June 8, 2018 at the Don Haskins Center, wrapping up graduations at Canutillo ISD. 374 eagles crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. Collectively, the Class of 2018 earned over $16 million in scholarships and grants.

This year’s valedictorian was Sergio Saucedo who will attend The University of Texas at El Paso and major in Biochemistry
Ricardo Vasquez, the salutatorian, will be attending Boston University and be majoring in Physical Therapy.  Mr. Vasquez was selected as a Gates Scholar and became a member of the Gates Scholarship Inaugural class of 2018. Vasquez was chosen as one of 300 scholars from a pool of more than 28,700 applicants from across the nation.  The prestigious Gates Scholarship program, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors.

Congratulations to all! The future is in your hands, so make the most of it for yourself and for the world.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!
