The Board of Trustees performs many different tasks in governing and overseeing the management of the school district. They are charged with the responsibility of providing the highest quality educational program possible for the students in our district. The Board of Trustees also appoints the Audit Executive Director to assist the Board and administration in accomplishing the District’s goals and objectives. This is accomplished by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of District operations, internal controls, risk management, and the overall governance process.

The Board of Trustees has established an Audit Committee which is a subset of theBoard of Trustees. It consists of at least three members appointed by the Board President. This Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for 1) the financial reporting process, 2) the system of internal controls, 3) the audit process, and 4) the District’s process for monitoring compliance with applicable local/state/federal regulations and laws, District policies and administrative procedures.
