Jessica CarrilloCongratulations to Canutillo Independent School District’s very own Jessica Melendez-Carrillo for being named one of the best principals in El Paso by voters of El Paso Inc.’s “Best of El Paso” (BOEP) 2021.

The BOEP helps local residents and out-of-town visitors discover the best that our West Texas bordertown has to offer by providing free access to El Paso Inc.'s annual Reader’s Poll year-round at no cost.

Featuring a highly-curated shortlist of recommendations across El Paso and the surrounding areas that have been vetted by fellow residents and business-owners, the new awards list is available via mobile app and print magazine.

The 2021 awards list includes 1,400+ winners across 275+ categories which are then divided across 8 sections featuring the top recommended places, people & things around town.

Melendez-Carillo, Principal of Congressman Silvestre & Carolina Reyes Elementary School was voted one of the five best principals in the publication’s Education and Child Services category.

"I am thankful for this recognition and I share it with all the fearless leaders of the El Paso region who work tirelessly to build an amazing future for our students,” Melendez-Carrillo said.
