Treats, no Tricks

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

Next week is election day! If you haven’t already hit the polling stations to cast your vote you still have today, Oct. 29, the last day of early voting and of course Tues. Nov. 2, election day. I can’t express enough how important it is to get out to vote. The 2021 Canutillo ISD bond impacts every campus, every student, every Canutillo community member. There is too much at stake to withhold your vote. Every single vote makes a difference.

I know there are some who feel passionately one way or another about the bond. Many of you know that our schools need renovations and upgrades to make them twenty-first century learning facilities and in many cases, to bring them up to the standards of other schools and facilities in the region and across the nation.

Our community is growing so rapidly and there is a whole new crop of students who now call Canutillo home and we need to make room to welcome and accommodate them. Keeping Canutillo ISD competitive, cutting-edge and a District our community is proud and confident to send their most precious assets to each and every day takes money, resources and most importantly your support.

I sincerely hope if you feel strongly about this bond either for or against, you cast your vote. If you feel indifferent about it, familiarize yourself with the facts and how the scope of projects impact our students, schools and communities and get out to cast your vote. You have a greater voice than you may even know for the future of our schools and students.
