Funds for the Future

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

Graduation is around the corner! This is an exciting time for our students. Twelve years of hard work are about to pay off. Many of our seniors have an assortment of plans as to what will come next. For many, the next step is college.

Mark your calendars, graduation for Northwest Early College High School is May 18 and Canutillo High School graduation is May 31. Both ceremonies will be from 2 - 4 p.m. on each school’s prospective date at the Don Haskins Center.

I encourage all our seniors at CHS and NWECHS to take advantage of scholarships available to you to help fund your dream. We have so many talented students with high expectations and lofty goals. Each one has what it takes to make their dreams happen and some financial assistance can go a long way to helping reach them.

All CHS and NWECHS seniors don’t miss your chance to apply for available scholarships through the Canutillo Alumni Foundation for Education (CAFÉ). The deadline to apply is April 29 and there are opportunities for every graduating senior. There are scholarships available for academic performance, volunteerism, for those with grade point averages of 2.0 and up.

Registration
Online registration is open!  Don’t forget to enroll your child for the 2022-23 school year. We hope to see all our bright faces back and if you are new to our district, we welcome you. Looking forward to another year of fun and learning.

Health Fair
Make plans to join us at the Canutillo ISD Health Fair, Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Canutillo High School located at 6675 South Desert Blvd. There will be health screenings, informational booths, food trucks, prizes, live music, activities for the kids and monster trucks.

Last but not least, happy Earth Day! Today marks Earth's very own holiday, and this year's theme is "Invest In Our Planet."  Although a great occasion to observe, one day a year to show our planet some love is not enough to prompt significant change. Instead, if we resolve to make small significant changes in our daily lives we can have a greater impact.
