Congrats Class of 2022

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer break. As the summer kicks off, we are busy planning for the coming year to make sure it is full of opportunities for all our students to have a fun and successful year. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back in August.

This week we celebrated over 380 graduates from Canutillo High School. The CHS Class of 2022, collectively raised over $22.4 million in scholarships, grants and GI Bills and completed over 1,450 dual college credit hours. Way to go, Eagles!

As they go out into the world, we pray for them and wish them much success in whatever they choose to pursue. May they leave their mark on this community and the world and always know that once an Eagle, always an Eagle!

We continue to pray and stand united with Uvalde as they face the aftermath of the despicable act of violence that cost 21 innocent lives. We also send our thoughts and prayers to the victims of yet another horrific massacre at a hospital in Tulsa. We stand united with these victims.

As much as we condemn these attacks we must also advocate just as passionately for change from our lawmakers and politicians. No matter what side you take politically, the one common thread that binds us all as human beings is the knowledge that something needs to be done to protect our nation’s children and citizens. When schools and hospitals become killing grounds we must all unite and say enough is enough.
