The Canutillo Bond 2024 proposal stands as a testament to the collective vision of our stakeholders—parents, students, and employees—who play an integral role in shaping the future of our district.

From its inception, the Canutillo Bond 2024 proposal has been rooted in the principles of inclusivity and engagement. Recognizing the vital importance of incorporating diverse perspectives into our decision-making process, the Board of Trustees embarked on a journey to solicit input from those who are directly impacted by the state of our schools. Through extensive dialogue and consultation, it became abundantly clear that our community's insights and priorities must serve as the guiding force behind any proposed initiatives.

Central to this endeavor was the formation of the Facilities Assessment Task Force, composed of 50 dedicated individuals who devoted weeks to meticulously assessing the needs of our district. With a commitment to thoroughness and objectivity, they conducted comprehensive tours of our facilities, analyzed data, and engaged in robust discussions to identify the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing our schools. Their efforts culminated in the Canutillo Bond 2024 proposal.

While the Board of Trustees holds diverse perspectives on the bond, it is essential to emphasize that our opinions are secondary to the voices of our students, teachers and parents. Their commitment to our schools is a manifestation of their dedication to ensuring a bright future for every student in our district. From students stepping forward to address the Board during meetings to parents actively engaging in discussions on social media platforms, it is evident that the Canutillo Bond 2024 proposal has ignited a spirit of collective ownership and responsibility within our community – both among those who favor the proposal and those who question it.

As a reaffirmation of our commitment to transparency and accountability, the Board has adopted the Contract With the Voters—a legally-binding resolution that serves as a solemn promise to fulfill the projects outlined in the bond proposal as requested by our stakeholders. This document underscores our dedication to honoring the trust placed in us by the public and provides an additional layer of accountability to ensure that the needs of our community are met with integrity and diligence.

I invite each and every member of our community to learn more about the Canutillo Bond 2024 proposal by visiting our website at or by following the District on social media. Your engagement and feedback are invaluable as we continue to chart the course for the future of our district.

Finally, I urge you to exercise your right to participate in the democratic process by registering to vote before April 4. Your voice matters.

Armando Rodriguez
