Northwest Early College High School earns gold status on Advanced Placement Honor Roll

Canutillo High School senior makes top ten at national research presentation

Canutillo High School senior April Ruiz stood beside her poster, her heart pounding with excitement and nerves, as she prepared to present her biomedical research at the annual meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) in Seattle, Washington. The meeting hosted top researchers, field experts and student researchers from throughout the country, creating an intimidating yet exhilarating atmosphere.

Two Northwest Early College High School Seniors named finalists for prestigious national match program

Two Northwest Early College High School students are one step closer to finding their perfect match. Seniors Austin Camañez and Esmeralda Martinez have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Questbridge National College Match, a national program that connects high-achieving high school seniors from low-income backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to 48 of the nation’s best colleges.

Four Northwest Early College students spent a week as interns at the Scherr Law Firm and earned a scholarship for law school

When the Scherr Law Firm won a court settlement worth more than $10 million last year, lead attorney Maxey Scherr decided to take some of her commission and do something positive for the community. That settlement led to the creation of the Scherr Law Firm Internship and Scholarship Program for high school students interested in pursuing a law degree.
