Identification and Assessment Grades K-5
Students in the Gifted and Talented (GT) program participate in a pull-out model one to two times per week. During these sessions, students engage in research-based projects designed to provide rigorous and challenging learning opportunities. Specific instructional schedules are maintained and posted at each individual campus.
To qualify for GT services, students are evaluated using a comprehensive combination of qualitative and quantitative measures. These include non-verbal intelligence assessments, academic achievement tests, student portfolios, and observations from both parents and teachers. The campus Screening and Identification Committee carefully reviews and evaluates all criteria for each nominated student to ensure appropriate placement and support.
Who should be assessed/tested for gifted potential?
If your child exhibits gifted characteristics, you may nominate your son/daughter for the program.
