Police Department - Safety & Security

Canutillo Independent School District Safety and Security Department protects and serves more than 6,000 students, over 1,000 staff members in 10 campuses along with administrative and service buildings. Protecting an educational environment is a unique experience as we partner with educators to ensure a safe learning environment where teachers may teach and students have the opportunity to learn. Our team is comprised of Texas State Certified Police Officers, Security Officers and Texas State Certified Dispatchers.

Officers of CISD Police Department are fully certified Texas Peace Officers who have the same authority as other local law enforcement officers.  Our staff is highly trained and qualified to meet the needs of all law enforcement efforts of prevention, intervention, and enforcement with a focus on creating the safest learning environment possible for our students, staff, and visitors.
