Public Information Office

The Office of Public Information provides internal and external communication services to CISD schools and departments. Special events, strategic communications, branding, media relations, open records requests, government relations and community relations are key functions of our communications team.

The department also publishes districtwide publications such as the "Envisions" quarterly newsletter in addition to maintaining and updating news and information on the CISD website, campus websites and social media channels.

We also manage the districtwide Partners in Education Program. CISD actively recruits organizations, businesses, government agencies, the military, nonprofit agencies, and law enforcement to work with campuses as Partners in Education. PIEs often serve as Student Mentors, Science Fair Judges, career awareness presenters, and scholarship providers.
