Each campus has a Coordinated School Team that will aid in students establishing healthy and physically active behaviors designed to be shared with family and friends to enhance student academic performance, well-being, and quality of life.
CISD is committed to advancing student academic performance by promoting, practicing, and coordinating school health education and services for the benefit and well-being of students. The Coordinated School Health (CSH) Teams will aid students in establishing healthy behaviors designed to last their lifetime.

An Introduction to Coordinated School Health
- Establishing healthy behaviors during childhood is more effective than trying to change unhealthy behaviors during adulthood.
- The health of our children does not depend on major medical breakthroughs, but rather on the everyday practice of good health habits.
- CSH addresses the needs of the whole child by aiming to provide a healthy environment along with a wide range of other activities to provide for the academic success and the development of healthy behaviors that last a lifetime.
