Borrego Selected as Superintendent Lone Finalist - Press Release
Dear Canutillo Community,
The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees has officially begun the search for our next superintendent—a leader who will continue building on our tradition of excellence and guide our district into a new era of greatness.
To ensure a fair, thorough, and inclusive process, the Board has partnered with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to help us recruit, vet, and hire the most qualified candidate. TASB will assist us in conducting a wide-reaching search and engaging our community as we look for the next leader of our District.
A vital part of this process is your voice. We want to hear from students, families, staff, and community members about the qualities and priorities you believe our next superintendent should embody. We invite you to be an active participant — starting by taking the Community Involvement Survey linked here.
You can also view our Superintendent Search Timeline, which outlines key dates, including opportunities to share your input. This page will continue to be updated with new information and resources as the process moves forward. Please note that we will have a public meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, at Canutillo High School. If for whatever reason you can’t make that meeting, we would love to get your input through the Community Involvement Survey.
With your engagement and feedback, we are confident that we will find the right leader to carry our vision forward and continue making Canutillo ISD one of the best school districts in Texas.
