Be All In!

Message from the SuperintendentHappy Father’s Day, Canutillo!

This weekend, our families will take time off to celebrate the father and father figures that make our community one of the best places to live in all of Texas. Every year, the work our dads do to improve the lives of children has a strong impact on the learning happening in our classrooms. Without a doubt, fathers are among our strongest partners in education, and we know that without their guidance and support, our jobs would be so much more difficult. So, thank you, Canutillo fathers, for your tremendous love and support! Have a wonderful Father’s Day!

Summer school ended this week and that means all of our kids and teachers are now home for a well-deserved rest. In the meantime, members of my staff will be busy preparing all aspects of the District for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. As we go about this process, we have come across a motto: “Be All In!”

Indeed, it is important for all of us to be all in as we seek to give our students and staff the best experience possible. Transforming the way we approach education is going to take all of our effort, and it is imperative that we count on the commitment of all of our stakeholders to get the job done.

As we continue to see our teachers and students perform at unprecedented levels, it is our job as administrators, auxiliary support staff, parents and community members to give it our all to make sure this forward trajectory Canutillo finds itself in, continues.

I have no doubt that The Best Small School District in Texas, title CISD received by the H-E-B Education Foundation, is one that is well earned. The title shows that our community is vested in the work we do on behalf of the children of Canutillo. But I know we can reach even greater heights, if we all come together and decide to Be All In!

Have a great weekend. And Happy Father’s Day!
