Educating tomorrow’s best today

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

Parents are naturally interested in curricular and instructional practices as they relate to their children. They want assurance that students are engaged in appropriate content taught by competent teachers. The quality of educational facilities is essential to supporting high quality instruction delivered by talented teachers. A large body of research supports what we already know: facilities matter. Educational structures should enhance rather than impede teaching and learning.

CISD is proposing a $187.5 million dollar bond issue to voters on Nov. 2 to ensure that all of our students have access to first-class facilities that are conducive to academic success.

We encourage all our community members to become knowledgeable of this critical referendum so that they can cast informed votes. The leadership team is visiting campuses to share the findings of the Just for Kids Committee regarding facility needs.

Bond2021

Educating tomorrow’s best today not only requires the best instruction, but also best construction of cutting-edge school buildings. We want our teachers and students to have access to safe, innovative learning spaces that foster interactive learning, engagement and application of knowledge.

Please join us at the next community meeting which will be virtual, on Aug. 25 @ 12:00 pm.
