March Calendar

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

Texas has been enveloped by a winter storm of historic proportions. Our state neighbors to the east have suffered from ongoing power outages and water shortages. As we extend our thoughts and prayers to our fellow Texans, let us count our blessings. For the most part, El Paso was spared from the tragic effects of this catastrophic weather system. While our beloved state recovers from the storm, CISD will continue its planning and preparation during an upcoming intersession.

The district will resume as scheduled with intersession from March 8 through 12, followed by Spring Break March 15 through 19. There will be no student instruction, physical or remote, during March 8 -19.

March calendar

During The first week of intersession, March 8 - 12, meals will continue to be served curbside at all CISD schools and designated bus stops to children ages 18 and under. Don’t forget to download our new mobile app called SchoolCafe designed to keep you informed about school menus and nutritional information. This will promote healthy eating habits and encourage students to try new foods. To download the SchoolCafe app and get more information, visit https://bit.ly/2OpKtfL.

Please note that intersession week does not apply to Northwest Early College High School students, they will follow their regular schedule March 8 - 12.

During the second week, March 15 through 19, everyone will be off for spring break, including Northwest Early College High School students. No meals will be served during this time.

Please note that parent-teacher conferences will be held the week after spring break. For Northwest students, on March 24. All other campuses will be having parent-teacher conferences on March 25.

We all have had to adapt to many changes and challenges during this lingering health crisis. The district asks for your continued support and patience during these trying times. With an aggressive vaccination program and sustained adherence to safety protocols, there is light at the end of the tunnel. CISD will emerge stronger and better from these trials.
