Ready, Set, School!

Message from the Superintendent Dear Canutillo Community,

The District today launched the Ready, Set, School! Hub to help parents find all the back-to-school information they need ahead of the Aug. 1 back to school start date. The site is our way of making things a whole lot easier for parents as they prepare their children to return to school. We are happy to help as much as we can, as we know this time of the year requires tons of preparation and work.

You can visit the Hub here.

The Ready, Set, School! Hub provides parents with easy-to-use links to services such as online registration, school supply lists and open houses. Parents also can find information on dress codes, immunization requirements and school uniforms.

Very soon, the Hub will include links to bus routes and even lunch menus. The information will be updated frequently, so keep checking the site for new information.

We hope you enjoy the Hub. We can’t wait to welcome students on Aug. 1 as we get ready to have the best start for the Best Small School District in Texas.

Before we welcome our kids back, however, we will welcome our teachers starting next week. Teachers and other staff will return to kick off the 2022-23 school year by engaging in innovative training and staff development.

Welcome back teachers! We are so excited to see you again!

On a different note, I want to thank the Canutillo ISD Safety and Security Department for completing the important Active Shooter Response for School-Based Law Enforcement training by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement this week.

The training helped our police officers be better prepared for events we hope will never happen in our District. This is one more layer in our commitment to create safe and secure learning environments.
