Dear Canutillo community,
We did it! H-E-B confirmed what we have known all along. Canutillo ISD is the Best Small District in Texas! The Excellence in Education Award is a culmination of a group effort that we all played a role in making happen. This is for our teachers, administrators, parents and students who show up everyday with the best intentions and put forth their best efforts to do what it takes to make us the best. Thank you, Canutillo ISD family and thank you to H-E-B for recognizing that our students and staff are the best in Texas!
Part of being the best is the ability to embrace and celebrate diversity. Schools should serve as safe places that model love for your fellow person, regardless of race or ethnicity. What makes Canutillo ISD a beautifully unique and inclusive place is our melting pot of students of all colors and backgrounds coming together to learn, work, and play together - a beautiful rainbow shining brilliantly. Ultimately, an appreciation for diversity in schools makes the world a much better place. Never forget to always Be Canutillo and value diversity and inclusion. Let us all make sure we show love and respect to everyone every single day at our campuses and everywhere we go.
Speaking of love and respect, this weekend we celebrate the special ladies in our lives who taught us right from wrong and the meaning of true love, our moms! Thank you, moms everywhere. You have the world’s most demanding yet rewarding job. Enjoy your special day.
Registration
Registration is in full swing! Don’t forget to enroll your child for the 2022-23 school year. We hope to see all our bright faces back and if you are new to our district, we welcome you. Looking forward to another year of fun and learning.
STAAR Testing
STAAR testing continues next week. Remember that STAAR is required and does count this year. Make sure our kids get some good sleep, a nutritious breakfast and our grades 3 - 8 kiddos, bring your A game!
CAFÉ Golf Tournament
It's almost here! CAFÉ Annual Golf Tournament, May 13, 2022, 12:00 p.m., Butterfield Trail Golf Club. Join us to help raise money for scholarships for Canutillo High School and Northwest Early College High School graduates. Prizes and dinner provided.

Graduation
It is almost here! The Northwest Early College ceremony is scheduled May 18 @ 2:00 p.m., at the Don Haskins Center. Canutillo High School’s ceremony will take place May 31 @ 2:00 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center.
