This year, the organizations teamed up to offer over 200 winter coats, stuffed animals, and more to children in need in the Canutillo community through the annual Coats for Kids program.

The staff at Charlie Clark Nissan provided an array of fun-filled activities and food. Ft. Bliss soldiers participated in the activities. In addition, Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) and Charlie Clark supported this important event with a monetary donation.

"We have been working with the Knights of Columbus from St. Luke's Catholic Church for over five years to provide a warm and cheerful winter season for our students who may not have the means to a winter coat and some holiday cheer,” said Dr. Monica Reyes, Executive Director of Student Support Services at Canutillo ISD. “This year, we added two new partners to this annual event - Charlie Clark Nissan and Ft. Bliss. It is an act of kindness like this that brings joy and smiles to the students of Canutillo. For some, this is the only coat they will receive. It is one of the most heartfelt events of the year."

The Coats for Kids program provides warmth for children in need during cold winter months. The goal of the program is to ensure that no child in North America goes without a coat during the winter season. Through the dedication of councils across the United States and Canada, hundreds of thousands of new winter coats have been distributed to children since program inception.
