Both students and faculty have a lot to look forward to with some notable new developments happening on campus this school year such as newly appointed principal Frank Clark taking the helm. He previously served as the school’s Dean of Students.

Students can also look forward to taking advantage of a new partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) that will allow them to accelerate their progress towards entering the high-demand nursing profession by taking up to 60 college credit hours to earn the equivalent of an associate’s degree through El Paso Community College.

“We need to keep our curriculum and programming competitive to provide our students the best opportunities to get them college ready and arm them with a competitive edge in the workforce,” said Clark. “We are looking forward to another year of doing the best to prepare our students for lifelong success.”

Prior to the first day of school for the entire campus, freshmen had the opportunity to receive a week-long orientation during the Griffin Academy where they got to meet their teachers, were introduced to the campus and learned important skills and expectations to help them succeed as both high school and college students.

Campus administrators and teachers are excited to have all students back in class this week.
