Reyes Elementary principal receives Texas Council of Women School Executives Bravo Award

Dr. Jessica Melendez-Carrillo, principal of Reyes Elementary School, was honored with the prestigious Bravo Award by the Texas Council of Women School Executives (TCWSE) at their annual conference in Austin, TX.

The Bravo Awards are presented each year at the TCWSE Annual Conference for exemplary practitioners, innovative programs and initiatives that promote community and parental involvement.

“I am honored and humbled to receive this recognition,” Dr. Melendez-Carrillo said. “As a principal, I feel it is my duty to pursue efforts in promoting inclusivity, fostering collaboration and empowering individuals within my campus and greater community.”

Recognized for her outstanding leadership and dedication to educational excellence, Dr. Melendez-Carrillo's innovative approach to fostering a supportive learning environment has positively impacted countless students and staff members alike. Her ability to establish partnerships with business and community leaders to strengthen the Partners in Education program together with her knack to build rapport with parents and community members has led to a strong sense of community in the region.
