School Board Election Elecciones de la Mesa Directiva
The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees is comprised of seven community members who are elected at-large by the general public. Trustees provide service to the Canutillo community without financial compensation. They serve staggered four-year terms and elections are held biennially on the second Tuesday following the first Monday in November of even-numbered years. The elections of all Trustees are held in a joint election with state and county officers.
La Mesa Directiva de Canutillo ISD está compuesta por siete miembros de la comunidad que son elegidos en general por los votantes elegibles del distrito. Los miembros de la Mesa brindan servicio a la comunidad de Canutillo sin compensación económica. The Canutillo Independent School District will be required to take part in a joint election with the County of El Paso November 5, 2024 to elect four at large positions of the Board of Trustees. In compliance with the Texas Secretary of State requirements, a notice was posted June 12, 2024 that the candidate filing period will be from July 20 to August 19 at 5 p.m. The deadline to order the November general election is also August 19. By September 6, 2024, we need to provide a notice of the election to the county clerk/elections administrator. Publication for the election runs from October 6-26, 2024.
