As we continue with this school year filled with promise and possibilities, I am excited to share some important developments concerning our commitment to excellence in governance and the future of our district.

Next week, the Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees will participate in a transformative training opportunity known as Lone Star Governance. This initiative represents a significant step forward in our collective journey towards strengthening governance within our district. Lone Star Governance is designed to empower our board members with the tools, knowledge and strategies necessary to better serve our community.

At its core, Lone Star Governance emphasizes a shared vision of excellence, transparency and accountability. This training will guide us in developing policies and practices that align with our district's goals and aspirations, ensuring that every student in Canutillo receives a high-quality education that equips them for success in the ever-evolving world.

We understand the vital role that community engagement plays in our district's success, and we invite you to join us in this endeavor. We firmly believe that together, we can create a more prosperous future for all our students. Your insights, questions and ideas are invaluable, and we welcome your input as we work towards making Canutillo ISD the best it can be.

In this spirit of transparency and collaboration, I am pleased to announce our upcoming regular board meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26. This meeting promises to be of utmost importance, as it will address crucial matters that impact our entire community.

Among the key agenda items are the setting of the tax rate and a decision on employee health benefits. These decisions hold significant implications for both the financial well-being of our district and the welfare of our dedicated employees. We recognize the weight of these issues and are committed to making informed decisions that prioritize the best interests of our students, staff, and community members.

I encourage all members of our community, as well as our valued employees, to attend this meeting. Your presence and participation will ensure that your voices are heard and your perspectives considered as we deliberate on these matters.

I want to express my gratitude to the Canutillo ISD community for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission of fostering academic excellence. Together, we are forging a brighter future for our students, one that is defined by innovation, inclusivity, and a steadfast commitment to their success.

As we embark on this journey of growth and transformation through Lone Star Governance, I am confident that our collective efforts will yield remarkable results. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with you to continue building a district that we can all be immensely proud of.

Thank you for your trust and partnership in our shared vision for Canutillo ISD. We eagerly anticipate your presence at our upcoming board meeting and your continued support in the pursuit of educational excellence.

¡Un fuerte abrazo!

Patricia Mendoza
