Congratulations Teachers of the Year

Message from the SuperintendentDear Canutillo community,

As we eagerly await the arrival of the Easter Bunny, let us also remember that Easter is a time of new beginnings, triumph and hope. This is what we aim for, not only this time of year but year round. We embrace fresh starts as an opportunity to always improve and evolve, we strive to triumph over adversity and we remain hopeful for our future, which in our case, is our students.

In the spirit of new beginnings, some of you may know that TXDot will be taking over the location of our current Central Office for a major highway project. It leaves us looking for the best possible location for a new central office that will represent Canutillo ISD today and 40 years from now.  Administration continues to look at and study several locations and options for the new building. Our goal is to locate a site which is safe and readily accessible and desirable for all of our stakeholders. It is an exciting time to plan for our future generations of children.

Teachers of the Year
Today, we surprised two of our tremendous teachers for being named District Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to Alma Ramos, third-grade teacher at Congressman Silvestre and Carolina Reyes Elementary School and our 2022 -23 Elementary Teacher of the Year and Hector Juarez, eighth-grade science teacher at Canutillo Middle School STEAM Academy, our Secondary Teacher of the Year.

What a tough decision this was to select only two. All our campus Teachers of the Year are superstars and do so much for our District and most importantly, our students to excel. They are all winners. A giant congratulations to all our campus Teachers of the Year!
