Elementary Gifted and Talented Program

First through 5th grade GT students are served through a pullout program. Students are instructed by an elementary GT specialist twice a week.  Students who qualify for GT services will participate in a research based Pull Out Program or Remote Learning program that provides for many challenging learning opportunities.  Grades students receive in GT class will be incorporated into their regular classroom grade.  The exact schedule for GT instruction will be determined after all testing is complete.

Students qualify for GT services using a combination of qualitative and quantitative measures to include a non-verbal intelligence test, achievement test, portfolios, and parent/teacher observations.  The campus Screening and Identification Committee reviews and evaluates all of the screening criteria for each nominated student.
