Canutillo Students Receive Jackets and Joy from Knights of Columbus

This is the image for the news article titled Canutillo Students Receive Jackets and Joy from Knights of Columbus Warmth and joy will wrap Canutillo students this holiday season thanks to a charity collaboration of the Knights of Columbus at St. Luke Catholic Church, The Outlet Shoppes of El Paso and Global Samaritan Resources. The Knights distributed about 200 jackets and stuffed animals to elementary and middle school students today.

“We think it’s very important as Knights to continue giving back to the community. And, what better way than to give to the kids to kick off the holiday season,” Mike Doblado, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 12160 said. “We are very blessed to be able to do this and we are looking forward to making this an annual event.”

This is the third year that the Knights of Columbus has helped Canutillo students. The event featured a visit from Santa Claus and food provided by restaurants at the Outlet Shoppes including Whataburger, Subway, Hotdog on a Stick, Auntie Anne’s, and Sonic.
